CORPORATE & COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT (HW – Hospice-wide) The post holder will be responsible for helping to support the Corporate and Community Fundraising ambitions for Pilgrims Hospices. They will cultivate, motivate and develop business relationships and community giving contributions within the east Kent community. This is a hybrid role and will support Corporate Fundraising for 3 days per week and Community Fundraising for the remaining 2 days. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES supporting Corporate and Community Partnership Fundraising support the hospices fundraising plan. This role will engage with businesses within the east Kent area; with a particular focus on corporate fundraising, volunteering, payroll giving and cultivating high value charity supporters either through COTY (Charity of the year) campaigns/joint ventures, corporate sponsorship and multi-year partnerships. Additionally, this role will support the wider Fundraising Team for 2 days per week. support research projects to identify and build an ongoing pipeline of new business partnership opportunities with a focus on generating high value donors. deliver outstanding stewardship and cultivate supporters through relationship and account management strategies. ensure that all supporters have the right toolkits, collateral and materials to successfully reach their own fundraising goals and ambitions. support the team to deliver local activities to the highest standard. respond to telephone and email enquiries about how to support the hospice through focussed giving/fundraising, providing excellent care and the appropriate information and recording all enquiries on the charity database. coordinate prospective corporate/business/community/trust visits to meet with clinical and non-clinical personnel and present at these on behalf of hospice. produce thank you letters for corporate/major donor supporters, ensuring they are thanked in a timely manner and the letters are informative, compelling, thankful and work within the Pilgrims brand and outgoing communications ‘voice’. manage the return and distribution of fundraising kit and any collecting pots and ensure that all staff and volunteers adhere to cash handling procedures and follow Pilgrims auditing and administration requirements. coordinate the storage and distribution of stock, materials and equipment for the corporate and trusts partnerships team. work with the Marketing and Communications Team to promote activities. support gifts-in-kind donated to the hospice by local businesses. utilise donated goods to enhance fundraising value and income opportunities. Share any suitable donated goods with local Community Fundraising Teams. work with the Marketing and Events Teams to develop artwork, launch, market and promote corporate and business objectives. raise public awareness in the area by working actively with supporters and the marketing team to develop case studies and support stories from corporate and community supporters. work with colleagues to ensure that centrally and locally managed corporate events, products and activities are supported to achieve targets. lead by example and create a positive working environment, be visible, pro-active and participative, encouraging cross team working and initiative.
