We are seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support community resilience as part of the Household Resilience Wage-based Placement Project.
Following the recent storm-force winds that left thousands without power, our project aims to:
* Gather and share stories of community resilience.
* Advocate for stronger community resilience.
* Support community resilience hubs and emergency planning.
* Engage with a range of stakeholders to ensure robust support for communities in light of the increasing incidences of extreme weather.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about climate resilience, promoting positive change with a range of stakeholders and community engagement to make a tangible impact.
As part of this role, it is expected that you will assist the Household Resilience Coordinator in their role and support the delivery of project objectives and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Support
* Engaging with community organisations to gather stories.
* Assist in organising and managing project activities, ensuring timelines and goals are met.
* Support the development of reports and funding applications.
* Help coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement events.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
* Liaise with a range of stakeholders.
* Support the planning and delivery of activities to raise awareness, outreach, and wider engagement activities.
Communications & Social Media
* Assist in managing social media and website updates related to the project.
* Help create press releases and campaign materials to promote project objectives.
Skills & Experience
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms.
