We are looking for a dedicated Administration Assistant to support the smooth running of our taught programmes within the School of Biological Sciences. In this role, you will assist with the administrative aspects of the student lifecycle, from handling prospective student enquiries to supporting students through graduation. Key responsibilities include processing coursework submissions, maintaining student records, managing engagement procedures, and assisting with Blackboard updates. As a member of our team, you will be the first point of contact for student and staff enquiries, providing guidance on procedures and policies. You will also support the organisation of key academic events, contribute to Open Days, and handle general office duties. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a supportive and dynamic team, ensuring a positive student experience and efficient programme delivery. About you The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five GCSEs, including Mathematics and English, or equivalent qualifications, along with experience in a busy administrative environment. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, are essential. You will demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organisational abilities, ensuring records are well-maintained and deadlines are met. You will have effective communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality service to students and staff. A flexible approach to work, the ability to work autonomously, and a strong sense of initiative will be vital in this role. Familiarity with higher education environments is advantageous.
