There is an excellent opportunity to join SSL sterile services at an entry-level and receive world-class training to get you on to a defined career pathway.
Working Pattern
Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week on:
Monday-Wednesday at 7:00-15:00 and Thursday-Friday at 13:00-21:00 + availability for weekend/Bank Holiday cover.
What is involved?
* Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables, instruments, and equipment by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
* Rigorously checking instruments, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments in trays to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
* Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment used in the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments.
* Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
* Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
