Reporting to: Coating & Converting Maintenance Coordinator
Job Purpose:
To install, maintain, repair and modify various controls systems & instrumentation equipment, ensuring optimised and continuous production. This includes routine maintenance, fault diagnostics, calibration and repair of all control-related plant and equipment in line with CBM philosophy.
Key Responsibilities & Experience:
1. Carry out planned preventative, remedial and breakdown maintenance in accordance with the Site’s CMMS system.
2. Fast and efficient ability for fault diagnostics on all control related equipment to ensure maximum utilisation of machinery and minimisation of manufacturing losses.
3. Carry out hardware maintenance and diagnostics on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
4. Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out and apply effective fault finding and investigation techniques.
5. Work with Reliability Department to carry out and participate in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
6. Modification of existing equipment to improve system performance, effectiveness and functionality.
7. Responsible for the supervision and training of apprentices, graduate trainees or other individuals under instruction.
A time served recognised apprenticeship acquired through the process industry within Instrumentation Engineering. ONC or BTEC National Cert in Instrumentation or Controls Engineering. Applicants must have previous experience of fault finding and diagnostics on various controls & instruments.
