Role Overview This role is designed as a development pathway to a People Advisor role within our Operations division, with an expected progression timeline of 15 months or upon completion of CIPD. The Graduate People & Culture Coordinator will gain hands-on experience across HR functions, developing the skills necessary to take ownership of HR for our Operations Division. To support this transition, the first 6 months will involve close guidance from the People & Culture Manager, with complex cases being escalated to them. By month 12, the expectation is that the successful candidate will be ready to independently manage the HR function for Operations. Key Responsibilities People Operations & Administration Maintain and update employee records and HR systems (BambooHR). Act as a point of contact for HR queries for our Operations Division, escalating when necessary. Recruitment & Onboarding Assist in drafting and posting job adverts on various platforms. Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, partner with local universities and other recruitment channels. Screen CVs and shortlist candidates based on role requirements. Coordinate interview scheduling, ensuring a positive candidate experience. Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates. Ensure a smooth transition from candidate to new employee through a structured onboarding process. Support the delivery of onboarding programmes and engagement activities for new hires. Employee Relations Support Maintain accurate records and documentation for employee relations cases, including tracking progress and following up on action points. Take meeting minutes during ER discussions (e.g., investigations, hearings, grievances) and assist in preparing related case documentation (letters, summaries). Assist in monitoring absence trends, supporting absence management procedures, and scheduling return-to-work meetings or long-term absence reviews. Assist in tracking and documenting performance management cases, ensuring timelines are met. Culture & Employee Engagement Support the People & Culture Manager to design and implement employee engagement initiatives, wellbeing programmes, and company events. Assist in the roll-out of internal communication strategies. Contribute to recognition schemes and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) projects. HR Projects & Development Support HR projects aimed at improving employee experience, retention, and engagement. Assist with training coordination and professional development tracking. Assist in gathering and analysing HR data to support decision-making. Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and support policy reviews. Assist in the administration of internal talent academies and leadership programs. The People & Culture Manager will provide full support throughout your role. What We’re Looking For A recent graduate with a degree in HR, Law Business, Psychology, or a related field. A passion for people, culture, and creating a great workplace experience. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business. A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn. Basic understanding of HR principles, employment law, or previous HR experience (e.g., an internship or university project) is desirable but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and an interest in learning HR software.
