Job Description
Our client, a major manufacturer of bearings for the aerospace and automotive industry, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer – with an electrical bias. You will be servicing, fault finding, repairing and improving on a wide range of production equipment – including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines.
This opportunity is a permanent opportunity with an attractive salary. You will be working on a double day shift rotating, the hours are 05:50-14:00 and 13:50 – 22:00 Monday to Thursday and Fridays 05:50-11:20 and 11:10-16:40 shift premium is offered.
What would you do?
* Carry out Preventative Maintenance in accordance with schedules
* Resolve breakdowns
* Fault find to the cause of failures
* Source and purchase spares
* Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
* Test & inspect electrical installations
* Communicate to operators/mangers/engineers/contractors
* Be active in supporting, creating and implementing new ways of working/good working practices
* Drive a continuous improvement culture
* Support supplier and subcontractor development, where applicable
* Run your operations according to the Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies, and work according to the Quality Management System
What are we looking for?
* Apprentices trained and have a range of industry recognized qualifications such as: City & Guilds, NVQ's, BTEC, HNC, HND etc.
* Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
* Understand good maintenance and engineering practices
* Excellent Electrical knowledge
* Excellent Mechatronics knowledge
* Good understanding of Preventative Maintenance principles/methodologies
* Able to use own initiative and work autonomously when required
* Be flexible to work overtime and support a small team
