You will make sure outcomes are aligned with the service vision and business strategy by connecting the current and future business models, whilst delivering towards achieving the business architecture strategy. The role will also involve supporting and informing product iteration, evolution, and optimisation. You will build and manage effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally. The role will involve working independently and/or as part of a team and will require you to have a good understanding of your own work area. About DDaT Enterprise Services and the ServiceNow DevOps Team For this role you will be working within Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) Enterprise Services, which is one of a number of portfolios and Departments within the Home Office. DDaT Enterprise Services is responsible for the infrastructure the Home Office uses, common products and services, and operations and support services that sustain and protect them. Job description The ServiceNow DevOps Team supports, develops, and maintains the ServiceNow platform at the Home Office using an agile delivery approach. Enhancements and updates to the platform are built, tested and implemented in easy to manage development sprints. About the role: As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be working as part of the ServiceNow DevOps Team, mainly supporting the delivery of the IT Operations Management (ITOM) health and visibility capabilities within ServiceNow. You will play a key role in supporting the implementation of effective ITOM solutions on the ServiceNow toolset to support the business area. To achieve this youll be expected to: Attend and take an active part in Scrum ceremonies. Support the agile delivery of new and enhanced features onto the ServiceNow platform that align with positive business outcomes. Being a champion of the ServiceNow Product Owners strategic vision. Keep up to date with ServiceNow training and product documentation and identify where new features will deliver the business requirement. Collaborating with user researchers and championing user research to focus on all users. Defining approaches to understand the user story. You may be expected to manage existing Business Analyst resource in the team. Person specification Key responsibilities of the ServiceNow DevOps Team include: Providing support for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring that it is patched and maintained appropriately, and managing user access requests. Developing the platform to improve and enhance the existing capability, and add new functionality. Working with key stakeholders to define business requirements and identify solutions to address them through ServiceNow. On-boarding new services to ServiceNow. Provisioning online end user ServiceNow training to ensure customers understand how to interact with the tool. Creating and maintaining key performance reports and providing accurate, up to date information that inform key decisions about services. Essential Criteria: Youll have a demonstrable passion for Business Analysis, with the following skills or strong experience in: Understanding the ITOM (visibility and health) capabilities within ServiceNow and practical experience of supporting their implementation within a medium/large organisation. Working with the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and wider Common Services Data Model (CSDM), understanding its architecture and technical construct. Being able to learn and understand new technologies, such as cloud and containerisation, to a level sufficient to support the implementation of ServiceNow integrations with these technologies. Promoting and building strong relationships with a broad range of people (technical and non-technical), and applying proven communication, and analytical skills to ensure the teams plans and objectives are achieved. Constructively challenging, negotiating and persuading different stakeholders to achieve a consensus in opinion.
