KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity and performance.
2. Carry out garden maintenance, development tasks, and food production as required.
3. Grow fresh, seasonal produce to supply the on-site café.
4. Work closely with the catering team and chef to plan and deliver a regular supply of ingredients.
5. Assist in food preparation and cooking as required.
6. Maintain the highest possible horticultural standards within Inverness Botanic Gardens.
7. Ensure site security, including key-holding responsibilities and setting of alarms.
8. Work safely and in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation.
9. Assist with cleaning duties, including staff and public toilets.
10. Assist with nursery plant production projects.
11. At times, work with and support people with ASN (Additional Support Needs).
12. Act as a designated First Aider (training will be provided).
13. Provide information and guidance to visitors to enhance their experience, including guided tours.
