Job Description
To lead the development of asset management strategy, processes and procedures to ensure that the Council’s Education buildings are appropriately developed, managed and maintained, as directed by the Property Asset Manager.
Provide Asset Management support and direction on all new build Learning Estate projects.
Requirements
To ensure that the Council’s Learning Estate is appropriately maintained in accordance with approved policy.
To take a lead role in the strategic implementation, monitoring and review of the Learning Estate Strategy and associated plans.
To assist in the development, management and reporting on the Learning Estate Capital Investment Plan and Revenue Repairs and Maintenance Programme.
Develop Planned Preventative Maintenance for all Educational Estate.
To develop and maintain effective communication links with all Head Teachers and Education colleagues relating to Learning Estate Investment Programmes.
Provide Asset Management support and direction on all new build Learning Estate projects and be an active member of all project teams to provide overall Asset Management oversight.
The Individual
Extensive experience in asset management related work.
Appropriate technical qualifications* to degree level or equivalent evidenced experience.
Supervisory skills.
Organisational and time management skills.
Self motivation, ability to deal with a heavy workload with the minimum of supervision.
Knowledge of policies, issues, procedures and practices relating to asset management.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
IT skills (MS Office, Access, databases)
Good analytical and numeric skills.
Ability to present complex details verbally to a variety of audiences.
Full driving licence* and access to a vehicle.
Good communication skills.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to present complex detail in writing and verbally to a variety of audiences.
Temporary Post for 3 years

Starting Salary: £54,996.60 Per Annum
£29.16 Per Hour
36.25 hours per week
