I have an exciting, new, temporary role that has recently come in for an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking to join a dedicated team based in the Northamptonshire area. You will be overseeing a residential respite home for children between the ages of 4 and 18 who have a diagnosis of autism, complex needs, and/or complex behaviour. The home offers a structured and safe environment for skilled staff with the home being OFSTED and CQC regulated. The priority is putting the children first by ensuring their health needs are assessed as well as always putting a smile on their faces by arranging fun activities and, most importantly, allowing them to be a child first You will be expected to work from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, however, you must be flexible to meet the needs of the service. It is a 3-month contract with the possibility for extension and an hourly rate of £25.61 - £31.85 with double pay on bank holidays Day-to-day responsibilities: Provide high quality care services to support all children and young people staying in the home Ensure all service users have individual care plans which have been carefully developed to meet their needs and to ensure person-centred care Ensure the safeguarding, individual rights, and equality amongst the service users Manage, supervise, and assist staff members in the professional development of the home regarding policies and procedures being followed, completed training, and risk assessments being up-to-date. Monitor performance and promote the personal development of staff members through regular appraisal meetings Liaise with healthcare professionals and build relationships with the parents/ carers and other family members of the service users Manage any ongoing finances and budgets Criteria: At least 2 years' experience in the last 5 years working in residential childcare Obtained Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare Knowledge and understanding of the OFSTED requirements as well as the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 Experience of managing a team and a proven ability to develop good relationships with staff Passionate and dedicated attitude to wanting to help and support children If you're interested in this role, please click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV or call us now to discuss further.
