Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Employment Solicitor to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of employment law and demonstrate the ability to provide expert legal advice to clients on various employment-related matters. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our clients navigate the complexities of employment legislation effectively while protecting their interests.
Duties
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice on employment law issues, including contracts, dismissals, discrimination, and workplace policies.
2. Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients in disputes with employers or employees.
3. Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with current legislation.
4. Represent clients in tribunal hearings and negotiations, advocating for their rights and interests.
5. Stay updated on changes in employment law and regulations to provide informed guidance to clients.
6. Conduct training sessions for clients on employment law compliance and best practices.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction with legal services provided.
Requirements
1. Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate in England and Wales.
2. Proven experience in employment law, preferably within a legal firm or corporate environment.
3. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients’ interests.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
5. Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and client management.
