Senior Electronics Design Engineer

The Senior Electronics Design Engineer is responsible for leading on all electronic elements of projects, managing projects from inception through to delivery.
The Senior Electronics Design Engineer is responsible for driving the electronics product range, being an ambassador for all electronics related projects and helping the company grow globally.
Requirements / Responsibilities:
1. Well versed in a breadth of core electronics disciplines including analogue and digital PCB design.
2. Exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept generation through to product release including demonstrable experience of delivering your designs into service.
3. Possession of a good understanding of the regulatory landscape of the UK, EU and US and a proven track record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable explaining complex engineering concepts to both a technical and non-technical audience.
5. Someone not afraid to be 'Hands-on' and work with the team to work through challenges from first principles on the bench.
6. Review, update, and potentially redesign current electrical items to meet quality and safety standards.
7. Support the testing and development of products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they meet the latest standards and regulations.
8. Generate crucial documentation, such as Wiring Diagrams and build instructions, to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
9. Specify, design, test, and integrate electronic equipment as per project requirements and company standards.
10. Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment, ensuring all products are safe and effective.
11. Experience in Assembler/ BASCOM programming languages is desirable.
Knowledge & Skills:
1. Effective communication skills.
2. Degree educated in Electronics.
3. IT skills - particularly with MS Packages e.g Word, Excel and Outlook.
4. Used to working collaboratively.
5. Thorough capability of preparation, review and redrafting as necessary.
6. Can work methodically & accurately.
Other Requirements:
1. Holds a current UK Driving License.
2. Flexibility around working hours.
3. Able to travel nationally & occasionally internationally.
