A development role for an Assistant System Engineer will work in a team that supports both the projects delivery teams and maintenance team delivering works across all communications systems. This will primarily be across London Underground and Network Rail systems. The role will be varied, and the successful candidate will be expected to support the project engineering team to deliver systems design and solutions.
What you'll do:
1. Provide technical support for the project delivery teams
2. Provide technical support to the asset maintenance teams
3. Provide a technical interface to the stakeholders both internal and external
4. Support escalations to other departments within Telent or external 3rd Line support
5. Complete or provide support to create design packages
6. Carry out or support build, test and validation of systems
7. Supporting and configuring remote monitoring toolsets.
Who you are:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role. You will have experience in communications systems, including CCTV, Public Address, and Data Networks. You'll have experience of designing, building, testing or maintaining Windows Server/Workstations and knowledge of cyber security systems and processes.
Key Requirements:
1. HND or above in an engineering/Computer discipline
2. Cisco CCNA
3. Microsoft Server Certification
4. IRSE Licensed engineer
5. STIL foundation
6. Demonstrable emotional intelligence to communicate effectively and positively with customers and colleagues in a challenging environment.
