Job Description
Position purpose
* You will be focused on the transformation of the commercial finance profitability model ($2bn revenue, +15k customers and 27 countries) via granular cost KPIs. Doing so will improve the accuracy of customer profitability and decision making supporting the European Strategy to reach Sustainable Growth.
Main Accountabilities
* Effectively manage and analyze complex data sets. Proactively generate and present financial insights in a clear and actionable manner to senior management and stakeholders.
* Develop customer segmentation criteria beyond sector looking for trends, correlations, and root cause analysis.
* Partner with local and central finance teams to drive cost clarity changes into existing commercial finance processes and tools.
* Collaborate with internal business areas (Commercial, Digital, Supply Chain, Retail…) to understand customer attributes driving cost to serve differences.
* Design dashboards to display cost clarity insights into our digital solutions.
* Support execution on pricing strategy initiatives linked to revenue management, willingness to pay and value-based pricing.
* Become an expert on CHEP’s financial modelling and costing, empowering our finance teams through training and collaboration.
What we look for
* 2-5 years of Finance or analytical related experience preferably for complex multinational business.
* You are curious, have solid investigative abilities and enjoy diving into data and analysis.
* You view change as a positive driver – identifying value-adding improvements to the status quo.
Skills and knowledge
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, advanced Excel skills is a must. Power BI and/or SQL would be a plus.
* Great communication and presentation skills with fluency in English is required. Ability to tailor message based on audience.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
* Well organized, being able to work on multiple projects in parallel and deal with ambiguity.
* Able to work with remote management & stakeholders in a matrix organization.
