The Delivery PMO will report to the Lead Portfolio manager to provide consistent and effective PMO support within their assigned delivery areas. You will work with the Delivery Portfolio Manager to create/develop existing processes to drive maturity in PMO service delivery, and project delivery process across the technology pillars.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
1. Dependency tracking: Oversee the dependency tracking process within assigned delivery areas, ensuring that the interdependencies between the projects within and across the delivery areas are clearly defined, agreed, and monitored, and that any dependency issues or conflicts are resolved or escalated.
2. Financial tracking: Oversee the financial tracking process within the delivery areas, ensuring that the budget and expenditure of the projects are accurate and up to date, and that any financial variances or issues are reported and addressed.
3. Health Check reviews: Oversee the health check reviews of the projects within the delivery areas, ensuring that the reviews are conducted in accordance with the Enterprise PMO standards and criteria, and that the feedback and recommendations are communicated and implemented.
4. Champion engagement across projects/programmes within technology pillar to ensure that all active initiatives comply with the project methodology and assurance processes.
5. Lead the delivery of the PMO services at technology pillar level working independently or with a PMO analyst/admin as task manager.
6. Oversee the coordination, collection and summary of Pillar reporting ensuring that all updates are received plus quality checking of data.
You will work with the Lead/Delivery Managers & Delivery PMO to identify and implement PMO value add activities that will enhance delivery effectiveness. In collaboration with the Delivery PMO, you will ensure that the delivery areas are aligned and integrated with the rest of the Portfolio across all responsibilities.
You will need:
1. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
2. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Attention to detail and quality.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Project. Jira & Confluence, PowerBI Experience in PowerApps, EPM Tool, or other portfolio management tools is desirable.
7. Relevant PMO or project management certifications are desirable.
