Job Description
Your New Company
Paving the way in fluid asset management and intelligence, this solutions-focused technology business is a true success story. Headquartered in Newcastle, the organisation has a long and successful history of providing ground-breaking products and solutions to its customers across the harshest work environments around the world. As a business centred around its people and innovation, your ideas will be valued and driving change encouraged. This is a compelling time to join the organisation as they experience strong sustainable growth both in Australia and internationally.
Your New Role
Working with clients that are paving the way in the mining & resources, rail and transportation sectors, you will be the go-to person for testing and validation of hardware developments and in-house software pre-launch. With the opportunity to travel to client sites nationally, as well as overseas, you will set up and confirm the correct operation of hardware for custom operation, undertake commissioning and handover customised systems.
You'll be part of delivering and supporting customer systems with hardware and software that is designed in-house out of their headquarters in Newcastle. The equipment they design and manufacture provides solutions for clients that are safe, efficient and reliable. When clients seek beyond what they offer, they integrate off-the-shelf solutions into a tailored package that aligns precisely with their requirements.
You will enjoy a coastal lifestyle with the ability to travel and enjoy hybrid work options. You can expect around 30% of your time in the field, which is compensated generously with field payment rates on top of the base salary.

Whilst we are open to exploring the opportunity with candidates of varying experience (given strong development and support will be provided), some of the desired attributes include:
•Tertiary qualifications in electrical, electronics, mechatronics or software engineering; or electrical trade with solid knowledge and interest in computing
•System engineering experience involving on-site commissioning in a heavy industrial environment (e.g. mining and resources, rail, heavy manufacturing)
•Strong stakeholder engagement capability, as well as written and verbal communication skills
•TCP/IP Networks and their basics
•SQL Server and database basics
•Familiarity with PLC, SCADA & Instrumentation systems
•Basic knowledge of Ethernet and WIFI Networks
