Our Federal Client is seeking multiple talented Junior to Mid level Service Designers for 12-month initial contracts with long term potential to join Agile squads tasked with improving operational efficiencies and business processes. This is part of a 5-year reform program driven by changes in legislation impacting people, process, and technology.
The team works to improve processes and standard operating procedures through re-engineering and continuous improvement approaches, utilising service design approaches like Co-Design, Double Diamond, HCD, and Design Thinking.
Salary and Benefits
* Melbourne (Richmond) or Geelong
* 67 per hour inc super, approx $115K package p.a.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with Co-Design and facilitation of workshops and one-on-one interviews
* Assist and perform quantitative and qualitative User Research to develop current and future-state service enhancements
* Create journey maps, business process mapping, design briefs, acceptance criteria, and personas
* Work with internal staff, external participants, community groups, partners, and both federal and state government departments
Key Requirements
* Experience in working in multi-disciplinary agile teams across varied skillsets on large projects
* Communication, synthesis, and creative skills to solve complex problems
* Capacity to drive Human Centred Design led thinking (HCD, Design Thinking, Double Diamond)
* Qualitative and quantitative research capability
* Ability to assess change impacts to customers and/or stakeholders
* Capacity to work in an environment of change and ambiguity
* Skills in stakeholder engagement and negotiation
* Preferable to have prior knowledge and experience in disability, social services, or public sector
* Demonstrated experience with Jira (or similar project management tools), Sharepoint, and design tools, such as Miro, Mural, Creately
