A public facing organisation is looking for an experienced senior Internal Communications and Engagement specialist to join their Group team to support across several business units and country regions. Working with the Comms Director to devise a strategy and central framework of internal comms, the role involves working with business units to better engage their leadership teams and tailor and land messages for their wider employee groups.
Helping the organisation to align comms while understanding different challenges for individual businesses, sharing best practices, and developing relationships.
Specifically, this person will lead a small central team to:
1. Work with the core leadership team on their leadership comms and engagement programmes.
2. Engage and develop relationships with top 50 leaders across the wider business and their comms counterparts in each.
3. Lead a channel and content review and improvement to modernise and ensure they are actively engaging their target audiences in the best way to cut through.
4. Develop campaign schedules and toolkits.
5. Lead on the annual engagement survey and events, ensuring each business area has data to make their improvement plans.
Most candidates should have led internal comms and engagement in a complex public service organisation within a very commercial setting. They should be able to demonstrate a track record as a trusted strategic advisor and influencer in a matrix setting, but also be happy to roll up their sleeves and tactically deliver.
Hybrid working is 2 days on site with regular travel to London and other sites.
