Our client is a highly successful and growing c. £30 million turnover business, which is part of a large Group of companies. You will be working from home, but there will be ad hoc travel to the office in Nottingham.
Job Description
You will be working as part of a small finance team of 5 and will be reporting into the Finance Manager. Your role will be extremely varied, and will include, but will not be limited to:
1. Producing the management accounts with variance analysis and commentary, and presenting the same to the Finance Manager.
2. Producing and analysing the weekly flash report of revenue and gross profit.
3. Balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Posting payroll journals, collating the payroll data for the external payroll provider, and analysing the values v expected values.
5. Supporting with ad hoc analysis and projects within finance.
6. Overseeing and analysing the debtor ledger.
7. Supporting with preparing 1/4 VAT returns.
8. Supporting with the production of statutory accounts and annual audit process.
9. Driving process improvements within the finance function.
The Successful Applicant
To apply for this position, you must:
1. Live within a commutable distance to Nottingham i.e. Sheffield, Derby, Chesterfield, Lincoln, Nottingham, Newark, Grantham, Rotherham and Leicester.
2. Have at least 18 months' experience of working in management accounts.
3. Be competent with double entry bookkeeping.
4. Have good Excel skills i.e. v look ups and pivot tables.

1. £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent upon experience).
