About the Role:
Job Title: GRC Systems and Reporting Manager – Enterprise Risk
Location: UK – Hybrid (Multiple locations)
Salary: up to c.£80k + Bonus
Purpose:
The GRC Systems and Reporting Manager will take ownership for the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of the company GRC System and risk reporting and MI (for those reports and MI coordinated within the ERM team).
The Manager will build strong relationships with stakeholders across risk and the wider business and adopt a collaborative approach to the successful delivery of own and team priorities.
The role holder will also be responsible for the development and dissemination of ERM risk reports, producing valuable insights and easy-to-understand reports.
This role will be exposed to senior management and the candidate must be able to communicate and be prepared to negotiate effectively to achieve the best outcome for the organisation.
Key Accountabilities:
* Owning the management of the GRC System and the supplier.
* Managing the GRC system in its entirety including configuration, enhancements, reporting, data quality and integrity.
* Producing system dashboards and reporting for stakeholders and Committees.
* Owning the updates to the Risk Appetite tools, templates/presentations to committees.
* Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Risk Appetite Framework/Policy.
* Embedding Risk Appetite within the business to ensure that it is appropriately adopted by principal risks, business functions and first / second line.
* Collaborating across teams for accurate, complete, and effective monitoring of risk appetite.
* Ensuring appropriate level of control is applied to the setting, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risk appetite metrics.
* Regularly reviewing and challenging Board-approved risk appetite, including coordinating with other areas, such as finance, as part of the annual financial planning cycle.
* Act as the ERM point of contact for ICAAP, including any ERM input and reporting requirements.
* Developing centralised Risk reports and MI (generally MI and analytics based on unstructured data).
* Work with stakeholders to develop and enhance reports and MI produced to ensure it is easy to understand and meaningful.
* Work with colleagues within ERM and more broadly within the Risk function to continually enhance the reports and MI produced and look for ways to better integrate data sets from various sources to provide a more complete view of risk.
* Effectively manage own and team workload and priorities
* Develop team members providing opportunities for growth
This is not an exhaustive list as activities will evolve. The individual will need to support the evolving and topical ERM activities as required by the Head of Enterprise Risk.
Experience required:
* Strong experience in producing MI and reporting in similar organisations and be familiar with financial services, ideally with a clear perspective on risk management.
* Excellent organisational skills with project management capability. Able to deliver in a pragmatic and focused manner.
* Numerate, with a clear understanding of commercial drivers that underpin business performance.
* Strategic thinking capability and experience.
* Able to build and develop ongoing relationships at a range of levels across the business. Including the ability to lead small teams on specific tasks.
* Preferably have experience in coaching and supporting team members enabling them to grow.
* Attention to detail, effective planning and organisational skills and demonstrable ability to work under own initiative is essential.
* Have a naturally curious and inquisitive approach to work, proactively questioning the status quo where appropriate.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence business stakeholders including senior stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational and influencing skills.
* Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
* Ability to effectively design, manage and enhance MI and reporting.
