Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products. Overview: To maximise the productivity of the compound and mixing department by ensuring that both the compounders running at the optimum levels, where possible, in order to sustain target speeds and volumes. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 3 shift rotation covering the hours 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm / 10:00pm-6:00am. Key Responsibilities: Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full Ensure quality standards are achieved at all times by checking the product for defects Ensure all pigment bins are kept full unless otherwise informed Ensure all machines have a continuous supply of material Ensure all waste products are separated into their designated containers As applicable, operate in a manner to reduce energy consumption, protect the environment and ensure the prevention of pollution Proactively participate in Health and Safety processes e.g., raising near misses, reading and understanding Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and other site safety rules before carrying out related work Take personal responsibility for ensuring that work related competencies are up to date before carrying out any work. Proactively escalate day to day concerns relating to workload and safety to management Perform any other duties as appropriate within skills/competency level.
