Job summary We are looking to appoint a committed and highly motivated Practice Manager to join our team at Prospect Medical Group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the practice, driving growth and sustainability in line with NHS policies and developments. The Practice Manager is a key member of the team and is expected to help and support the team in achieving goals and targets, motivating the team and to delegate where necessary. They must be able to be a trusted representative for the practice in the wider health care system in which the practice operates. You should have proven HR and interpersonal skills. Main duties of the job The main role of the post is to manage, coordinate and oversee all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance and ensuring the practice achieves its long-term objectives in a safe and effective working environment. The ideal candidate needs to be highly organised with experience of leading and managing a team. The candidate must have excellent communication, HR, IT and financial management skills. Experience working within a similar healthcare setting is preferred. Previous leadership and management experience is essential. Through innovative ways of working, lead the team in promoting continuous improvement, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development, and ensure the practice complies with CQC regulations. About us About us Prospect Medical Group is a long established, friendly and forward-thinking GP practice in the west end of Newcastle Upon Tyne based in modern single site premises. We have 6 GP partners who employ 2 salaried GPs, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 Healthcare Assistants as well as a team of dedicated and supportive administrative staff. We currently have a patient list size of around 15,000.
