We are currently recruiting for a Production Co-ordinator vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at the co-ordinator level and oversee the productivity and welfare of the staff on site.

Working Pattern
Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week on Monday-Friday at 14:00-22:00 with occasional weekends if needed.
About the role
As a Production Co-ordinator, you will oversee re-processing production operations, managing all production and logistics staff on a shift basis, while playing a pivotal role in the workflow and team management within a busy Sterile Services Unit. You will lead by example, fostering effective communication and nurturing positive interpersonal relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance.
What is involved?
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure all plant and machinery are maintained and repaired to assist service provision.
- Process Coordination: Efficiently oversee the cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing, sterilisation, and despatch of instruments and equipment within set deadlines.
- Team Participation: Actively contribute to the sterile processing team, suggesting innovations and improvements.
- Machine Operation: Safely operate and monitor machines (driers, washers, sterilisers), recording and reporting any downtime.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the logging and tracking of repairs and missing instruments/equipment, ensuring they are correctly tagged and returned to stock.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Monitor and ensure all operational activities comply with Health and Safety procedures, training staff on these guidelines.
- Quality Control: Ensure all production processes conform to quality guidelines, maintaining contamination control.
- Resource Management: Control the use of materials, equipment, and consumables, reporting faults and requirements to the Production Manager.
- Staff Supervision and Development: Coach and assist team members, manage absence records, and oversee time management and overtime, ensuring effective communication between senior management and production teams.
- Operational Assist: Assist the Production Manager or Operations Manager in planning and operational processes, covering for supervisors when needed, and ensuring 5S monitoring is completed.
Required Experience
- Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities
- Basic end user IT skills to operate track and traceability IT system
- Strong understanding of individual needs
- Approachable and empathetic
- Flexible with working hours
- Performance and productivity management experience
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
Preferred Experience
- 2 years in a team leader, supervisor or manager role within the sterilisation industry.
