Enfield Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Adults Social Worker to join our Integrated Learning Disability Service on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is based in the vibrant heart of Enfield Town, within our newly refurbished, open-plan office designed to support our smart working policy.
The office is conveniently located amidst a bustling high street, shopping centre, and a variety of small businesses, bars, and restaurants. Excellent transport links to Central London and easy access via the M25, A10, and A406 make our location highly accessible.

Role and Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults with learning disabilities to identify their needs, strengths, and preferences.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised care and support plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals.
* Manage a caseload of adults with learning disabilities, ensuring regular reviews and adjustments to care plans as necessary.
* Coordinate and monitor the delivery of services to ensure they meet the needs of service users and comply with relevant legislation and policies.
* Advocate on behalf of service users to ensure their rights and preferences are respected.
* Provide emotional and practical support to service users and their families, helping them navigate complex systems and access appropriate services.
* Work closely with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, housing officers, and employment services, to provide holistic support.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated and integrated service delivery.
* Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users.
* Follow safeguarding policies and procedures, making referrals and taking appropriate action when necessary.
* Respond to crises involving service users, providing immediate support and intervention to stabilise the situation.
* Develop crisis management plans and work with other agencies to provide appropriate support during emergencies.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes.
* Prepare reports and documentation as required for case reviews, court proceedings, and other professional purposes.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
* Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in learning disability services.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, and local safeguarding protocols.
* Participate in audits, inspections, and other quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of practice.
* Foster strong relationships with community organisations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to enhance support networks for service users.
* Promote inclusion and participation of adults with learning disabilities in community activities and initiatives.
Requirements:
* A recognised Social Work Qualification.
* Understanding of relevant legislation and commitment to continual professional development.
* Registration with Social Work England.
