Your Role and What You'll Be Doing
We are looking for an Expert Relationship Manager who can lead the contractual and relationship management with our Part 35 expert suppliers ("experts"), to develop and deliver the short and long term CPI business plan, leveraging the strengths and expertise of IM to maximise the market opportunity for our products in line with our wider firm Supplier Management strategy.
This is an integral role for the Group, as it requires the individual to work across the business, developing stakeholder relationships to understand the needs of the business and directly translate those needs into value and improved supplier relationships. You will work with other functions to ensure regulatory compliance and the best commercial outcomes including, but not limited to, the Procurement & SRM Team, the General Counsel Team, Finance and others across Corporate Services as required.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategy & Planning:
* Manage the expert panel across PI & MN.
* Lead the development and delivery of an integrated legal, commercial, business development and people strategy in respect of experts for the PI & MN teams, linking these to the overall objectives of IM.
* Own the customer value chain for expert evidence, fostering a client-focused culture and continuously tailoring products and services to meet client needs.
* Be proactive with researching and understanding the 'expert' landscape, using this knowledge to implement the strategies and techniques that drive value and benefit and reduce risks.
Stakeholder Management:
* Build strong relationships across IM, leveraging expertise from Client and Corporate Services to achieve success for the PI & MN Teams and the Firm.
* Consistently model positive behaviours by understanding the supply chain landscape and proactively managing supplier performance.
Business Management & Delivery:
* Lead data-driven decision-making for experts within the PI and MN teams.
* Drive change initiatives that enhance client value, productivity, efficiency, and service delivery across PI/MN Teams and broader business projects.
* Collaborate with Procurement & SRM to align expert management strategies across Client Services, while ensuring effective risk management.
About You
* You will have great experience in relationship management, operating at a mid-management level. You will have a strong track record of commercial success within large scale operational service delivery business.
* You will be commercially astute with excellent communication and presentation skills to enable to you engage and influence across all levels within the organisation.
* Experience of operating in a complex matrix structure model and ability to manage relationships across various stakeholder groups.
* You will be resilient and change focused - you will have a track record of delivering incremental improvements within a business.
* You will have drive and ambition and a real passion for continuous improvement.
* Some legal background, especially in handling personal injury/medical negligence would be very helpful indeed, but not essential.
