As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for an experienced and Registered Care Manager to work within our Children's Community and Respite Team in North Lanarkshire, who will work closely with the Senior Management and Head of Operations Services to manage the delivery of support packages for children and young people and families with high levels of risk and vulnerability and complex support needs.
You will be required to evidence experience at a senior level in Children's Care within Intensive community services or residential childcare, or equivalent children's complex environment and will be tasked with delivering child-centered care. This would include maintaining care plans and outcomes, managing current clients and growing our customer base, keeping accurate compliance and correspondence records, meeting regularly with management, updating client details, and developing customer service policies.
This position requires flexibility to manage and travel to other service locations.
What will you do?
. Manage the planning and delivery of intensive support packages and safeguarding services for young people in the community and promote a plan to secure better outcomes for every child in the given area, with a targeted approach for those most in need.
· Manage and evaluate risk formulation detailing a summary of an individual’s difficulties and how these are related.
· Deliver on priorities to manage and create a multi-agency support package depending on the level of need and risk and coordinate with a range of partners including parents, carers, education services, health, and social care partnership, and other key stakeholders.
· Liaise and develop service referrals and business development provisions with government and non -government agencies at appropriate levels to support the health, mental health, and wellbeing needs of young people.
· Strengthen collaboration, develop a cohesive partnership, and to ensure improved outcomes for children are secured. Provide advice and support to support workers and family members around strategies to work with young people experiencing significant AOD, mental health, and/or behavioural challenges.
· Liaise with Managers, team Leaders, and staff members and run professional development with staff members around working with and supporting the particularly vulnerable young people.
· Manage, recommend, and create intervention strategy to mitigate risk against potential future harm and ensure the safety of the young person and others.
· Manage the delivery of education packages compliant with GIRFEC and Centre for Excellence and tailored to their needs and assessment and in line with the multi-agency formulation.
· Undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.
Skills and Qualifications Needed:
· This post will suit a Care Manager with at least 7-10 years of extensive Childcare experience alongside further Registered Manager experience and knowledge with a recognized professional qualification like SVQ4 or above in health and social care, youth work, childcare services, health, teaching or education, and evidence of a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
· Good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a registered manager with excellent track record with Care Inspectorate reports.
· SSSC Registration is essential with working knowledge of the SSSC Codes of Practice.
· Demonstrated experience in holistic assessment of need, support and risk, and multi-agency casework planning.
· Demonstrated competence in the development, delivery, and oversight of intensive and innovative programs for young people who are particularly at risk.
· Experience of working with children and families with an understanding of risk factors and safeguarding concerns to children and vulnerable adults.
· An ability to negotiate with other service providers and to influence their response to improve the service provided to families /young children under your care.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods
· An understanding of accountability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
