Our market leading Agriculture Department is looking for an experienced Solicitor to join the team in Bath. Forming part of the wider team spread across the Thrings’ offices, you will be supporting clients locally and nationally; running a varied caseload of non-contentious matters in the Agricultural/Rural Property sector. It is a great step forward in building a long-term Practice with a team who value developing talent within the Firm.
Working alongside the highly regarded Duncan Sigournay and Neil Barbour, who is the Head of the Agricultural Property team in Bath, you will provide bespoke services to clients including farmers, landowners, estates, and Agri-businesses. You will be expected to demonstrate that you have significant experience of working with property-related matters within an agricultural setting, covering the sale and purchase of farms and landed estates, along with agricultural secured lending work, or strategic development of land. The role may also suit someone with other relevant sector experience such as through renewable projects or with agricultural tenancies.
Success in this role will be building on the excellent foundations we have; there are ambitious plans for growth of the team and the reach of clients we serve. You will need to be an excellent communicator, put clients at the heart of everything you do, and have good attention to detail and commercial awareness. This is why we’re market leaders within the Agricultural market – it is what we do. You will have autonomy to run your own caseload whilst supporting our ambitious growth plans.
Our relationships with key sector organisations including the NFU (where we are panel members for seven counties), the CLA, TFA, CAAV, and ALA demonstrate we’re held in high regard and the quality of work you can expect to receive will be strong. We work collaboratively across our offices and will continue to work in a hybrid way – a mix of serving clients from our offices but also from time to time working from home. It’s what works best for us and our clients.
If you have at least three years’ experience within the Agricultural/Rural Property sector as a Solicitor, then we’d be keen to hear from you. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
