We require reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated Porters to join our bank to work within hospital and community sites, including Berwick, Alnwick, Hexham, and Haltwhistle.

Main duties of the job
Our porters provide services such as conveying and moving patients by wheelchair, trolley, or bed; collecting and delivering linen, refuse, clinical waste, food trolleys, stores, beds, bedding, furniture, equipment, and records to designated areas. The role supports high standards of patient care. You should embrace our trust values, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have a flexible approach.
We particularly need bank porters who can cover shifts in:
* Alnwick
* Blyth
* Hexham
* North Tyneside General Hospital
* Wansbeck General Hospital
Shifts are available across 7 days a week, with pay enhancements for night and weekend shifts, e.g., approximately £13.66/hour on Saturday or nights, and £17.83/hour on Sundays or public holidays.

Job responsibilities
* Assist in directing patients and visitors
* Convey and move patients using wheelchairs or stretchers
* Deliver linen, refuse, clinical waste, food, stores, beds, furniture, equipment, and records
* Sort incoming mail and handle external mail franking
* Manage medical gas cylinders within safety guidelines
* Remove refuse from outside waste bins daily
* Clean external areas at hospital entrances

* General education
* Knowledge of portering and security procedures, with ability to follow safety protocols
