We are currently looking for a UK & Ireland Planning & Scheduling Manager to join our team in the Chippenham, United Kingdom, Wavin UK, an Orbia business If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
The UK & Ireland Planning & Scheduling Manager is a role with direct responsibility for short and long-term factory planning and scheduling (replenishment, detail scheduling, material planning of RM and components, planning and executing subcontracting supply flows) in assigned production plants.
It includes responsibility for short-term supplies, production scheduling, raw material, components, and subcontracting planning. It requires driving together with local customer service alignment with customer expectations as well as local production on optimized cost. It also requires supporting the optimization of local factory supply chain to ensure balance between stock availability, cost and inventory.
Production plan adjustment based on weekly review of monthly progress and order book (FC consumption) with detailed schedulers in all production facilities within territory.
Assure proper control of SAP master data. Urgently react to changes in demand or supply to minimize obsolescence and inventory while maximizing customer service.
Continuous drive for optimizing working capital, costs, and service.
Lead and implement projects for continuous improvement of factory planning performance.
Degree educated in relevant business discipline (Logistics, MBA) is desirable
~3 years’ experience in production and material planning in big scale production.
~ Ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects under a deadline.
~ Tactical and Operational Planning knowledge and experience.
~ Systems knowledge and experience of SAP R/3 (MM and PP), APO SNP.
~ Knowledge and experience of Reporting & Analytics: SAP BW / BO, MS Office.
~ Experience manufacturing production planning and stock management experience in a high-volume environment.
