Job Summary - The Communications department is looking to appoint a creative individual with strong social media and communications skills to join their team based on our stunning Penryn Campus in Cornwall. This role will be critical in supporting us as a top UK University, as well as our global ambitions of the coming academic year and beyond. One of the areas you will assist on will be to drive forward our student recruitment initiatives and to continue to attract the brightest and most dynamic students out there. You will also promote campus life and activities to current students and colleagues, in addition to many other diverse projects across our Cornwall campuses, and the wider University that you will have an opportunity to support and gain experience in. You will do this primarily across social media and the web, but within an inclusive team across multiple media, and you will support them where necessary. This is an interesting opportunity for a highly organised individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who has the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner. You should have a creative mind, excellent copywriting and IT skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. You will be able to plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload in the face of conflicting demands. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and is for 21.9 hours per week for 12 months from June 2025. About You – You should be a graduate who has excellent written and oral communication skills, including copywriting, and editing for different audiences, good IT skills, basic image/video editing skills, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to details and the ability to deal with multiple tasks, prioritise and respond appropriately. You must be organised and be able to plan, be confident to present knowledge and expertise to others, be self-motivated and use initiative to find solutions / deliver on task, and have the ability to build relations, learn quickly and to motivate and generate enthusiasm in others. You should also have experience of utilising digital tools such as email, social media, website, blogs, videos, have good working knowledge and broad experience of creating posts for social media, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.

GBP Scheme Requirements
To be eligible to apply and undertake a GBP role the graduate must meet all of the following criteria:
*To undertake a graduate role through the GBP scheme, you must have either achieved your degree or be in your final year at any UK-based university.
*If you are in your final year, your working hours may be reduced to 15 hours per week (for undergraduates) or 6 hours per week (for postgraduates) to ensure you have the capacity to successfully complete your degree. More hours can be completed if your academic agrees and provides written confirmation.
*If you do not pass your degree, the GBP role will end early.
*You must have graduated in the UK within the last 3 years of your most recent degree (we will consider extenuating circumstances of potential applicants that may have prevented them from undertaking a graduate role within 3 years of graduation).
