The Professional Services Manager combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. This role oversees a small team of direct reports while managing complex enterprise deployments. The ideal candidate excels in mentoring, project management, and technical problem-solving, serving as an escalation point for the team and a key liaison with customers and internal stakeholders. They play a crucial role in maintaining team performance, upholding best practices, and contributing to the strategic direction of the Professional Services department.
Responsibilities:
* Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to direct reports, conducting regular 1:1 meetings and offering constructive feedback.
* Manage and lead complex enterprise-level deployments, serving as a player/coach within the team.
* Act as an escalation point for the Professional Services team, resolving complex challenges and liaising with sales teams and customers as needed.
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the company's product portfolio and stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
* Lead the onboarding process for new staff within the Professional Services team.
* Coordinate training and mentoring programs for junior team members, assessing needs and measuring effectiveness.
* Provide reporting statistics to senior management.
* Lead by example, consistently demonstrating and promoting the company's key values.
* Provide regular feedback to upper management on team performance and individual contributors.
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the Professional Services department, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
* Represent the Professional Services team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.
* Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, and discipline of subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
* Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
* Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
* 2 year degree preferred
