Location - South West London (SW18) A Registered Nurse (RN) in a care home plays a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering care, managing medications, liaising with healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with care standards. Key Responsibilities: ? Resident Care & Assessment Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents health and care needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams. Monitor and evaluate residents' progress and adjust care plans accordingly. ? Medication Management Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely. Monitor for any adverse reactions and report concerns to the appropriate medical personnel. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and compliance. ? Wound & Infection Management Provide wound care, dressing changes, and infection control measures. Identify early signs of infections and deterioration in health conditions. Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation procedures are followed. ? Leadership & Team Collaboration Supervise and support care assistants and junior staff in delivering high-quality care. Act as a mentor and provide training to enhance the skills of the care team. Work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. ? Regulatory Compliance & Documentation Maintain detailed and accurate records of care provided. Ensure compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations and other healthcare standards. Participate in audits, inspections, and risk assessments to improve care quality. ? Resident & Family Support Build trusting relationships with residents and provide emotional support. Communicate effectively with residents families, updating them on health conditions and care plans. Advocate for residents rights, dignity, and well-being at all times. Skills & Qualifications: ? Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) PIN. ? Experience in elderly care, dementia care, or palliative care (preferred). ? Strong knowledge of care home regulations, infection control, and safeguarding procedures. ? Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. ?
