We are a growing firm of Accountants based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their friendly and professional team. What You'll Be Doing:-
Day-to-day bookkeeping;
Preparing and submitting VAT returns;
Performing bank reconciliations;
Processing sales and purchase invoices;
Posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records;
Handling financial documentation and ensuring proper filing;

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented bookkeeper who thrives professionally.
The ideal candidate will have:
IT Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (VT+, Xero, and QuickBooks, IRIS Elements, Taxfiler are advantageous);
Bookkeeping Expertise: A solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping;
Qualifications & Experience: AAT Level 3 is desirable, but practical experience in an accountancy practice is more important;
Attention to Detail: A meticulous and accurate approach to financial records;
Time Management: Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and work efficiently;
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build rapport with clients;
