We have the opportunity for individuals who are caring and compassionate and enjoy being part of an established hard-working team to join us on Ward 36 in a Clinical Support Worker role to implement a high standard of care and ensure patient safety is paramount.
Previous care experience is essential, and completion of care certificate is desirable.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients' care plan.
2. Undertake clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.
3. Provide personal care to patients (e.g. bathing, toileting, feeding, and care of the dying).
4. Work in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
5. Demonstrate own duties to new starters and others as appropriate.
6. Observe patients and report any changes to a Registered Nurse.
7. Perform basic observation processes using automated devices for temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
8. Take basic patient measurements (e.g. height and weight).

Person Specification
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
* Level 2 in Care (or appropriate experience and commit to undertaking and completing within 18 months of commencement).
* Care Certificate.
* Undertake all Mandatory training.
* Completed clinical competencies for clinical tasks and procedures as appropriate.
* Experience working in a clinical environment.
* Experience working in the NHS.
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Personal Attributes
* Ability to perform when under pressure.
* Polite, friendly, approachable, and self-motivated.
* Understand when to seek support and advice.
* Aware of personal and professional limitations.
