Key Purpose of the Job
The role's purpose is to provide an effective and efficient interface between the client and the Security company, to ensure Company Policies and Procedures are implemented at all times.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Ensure site employees perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
* Monitor and review employee performance, providing advice as necessary and identifying training needs.
* Ensure site documentation is completed and submitted within the required time frame.
* Ensure the gatehouse is efficiently maintained and kept clean and tidy.
* Prepare weekly/monthly reports as required.
* Conduct site induction training with all new employees.
* Monitor employee sickness and absence.
* Manage a motivated team of site security officers.
* Ensure all security officers are trained to site-specific requirements.
* Ensure compliance with onsite policies and procedures.
* Prepare duty rotas in advance and ensure all shifts are covered with trained personnel.
* Ensure all supplied equipment to sites is in good working order.
* Bring to the attention of senior management items of good performance and breaches of internal discipline.
* Identify policies and procedures likely to improve working practices.
* Plan, organise and manage site operational activities.
* Ensure Health and Safety Risk assessments are site-specific.
* Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and Quality Policies.
* Assist in the preparation and updating of site security assessments.
* Ensure site personnel have appropriate uniform and Personal Safety Equipment.
* Ensure identified site-specific security equipment is available and maintained.
* Check site assignment instructions for currency and relevance.
* Ensure all site security personnel are correctly accredited and licensed according to SIA regulations.
* Monitor staff welfare.
* Assist in the administration of the contract, including staff attendance records and employee relations.
* Investigate alleged disciplinary offences in accordance with company policies.
* Identify and develop safer and efficient working practices.
* Attend training courses and meetings as requested.
* Support company policy and best practices in security, focusing on protecting sensitive customer information.
* Implement and act in accordance with the organisation's information security policies.
* Protect assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.
* Report security events or potential risks to the organisation.
Essential Requirements For The Job
* A valid SIA Licence.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Flexible availability.
* Relevant knowledge and experience.
* Experience of managing high-performing teams.
Desirable Requirements For The Job
* Previous experience in the Security Sector is preferred but not essential.
