Job overview
The Children and Young People PBS pathway within the Specialist Children and Young People’s business unit comprises services for young people with a learning disability who may present with behaviours of concern and/or mental health presentations. The service is currently expanding to develop a pathway for Autistic children who do not have a learning disability. The IPBS team sits within the Specialist Children and Young People’s Business Unit. It is a multi-disciplinary team aiming to support young people in their communities, enhancing the community offer at times of increased need. It covers the whole CNTW footprint, making it a busy and dynamic team.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner to join the Specialist team, providing specialist assessment, consultation, and treatment in the area of Positive Behavioural Support. The post will contribute to the development of a consultation model and interventions in this evolving treatment pathway. Current projects include service evaluation, development of the PBS model for autistic children, mindfulness interventions for parents, staff well-being, and Positive Family Intervention (PBS + CBT) development.

Qualifications
* First Level Nursing Qualification and Registration or equivalent first level qualification e.g. Social Worker, OT, Clinical Psychologist, other.
* Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in evidence-based treatments relevant to Pathway.
* ENB 998/P126/127 Student Assessor
* Safeguarding Children and Adults Training
* Post qualifying experience in relevant therapy
Experience
* Relevant clinical experience appropriate for role/transferable skills & knowledge
* Experience of supervising colleagues
* Highly developed specialist knowledge of meeting the health needs of patients with Mental Health and/or Learning Disabilities and/or Cognitive difficulties.
* Safeguarding and risk management experience
* Experience of delivering training and/or presentations
* Experience of working within MDT and with external colleagues
* Experience of working within community settings
Skills
* Demonstrate IT skills and a good working knowledge of the patient electronic record
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to de-escalate and support with challenging situations/conflict resolution
* Demonstrate excellent Clinical Leadership skills.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
