On behalf of our Mildenhall based client, we are looking for an additional QA GOODS IN TECHNICIAN to join their team. You will be responsible for Conducting Goods In Inspections and meeting the demands of a high volume manufacturing ISO9001 organisation. Ensuring that all Goods In inspections are carried out in accordance with procedures and control plan specifications/requirements. Ensuring that results are properly recorded, reported and analysed accordingly. Introducing and maintaining continuous improvement activities and improvements to all inspection activities. Your day to day duties will involve: Carry out inspection of all bought in components and raw materials to ensure final assemblies are produced to the required specification Complete and take responsibility for the accurate recording of non-conforming parts To complete any process documentation as is required, in line with the control plans Documenting and escalate quality issues to external stakeholders and suppliers/sub-contractors Questioning the nature of defects Filling out and maintaining proper paperwork Complying with any and all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the components Ensure raw materials meet specifications through meticulous examination and precise measurement tools Perform durability, functionality, and safety tests to validate product quality and performance using standardised methods Maintain detailed records of inspections, noting deviations or defects found to ensure traceability and quality control Communicate identified defects promptly and collaborate on corrective actions for timely resolution Verify components/raw materials meet industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements by staying updated on quality regulations Develop and enforce effective protocols to optimise inspection processes and enhance component quality assurance Ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections and production activities to promote a secure workplace for all The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience/training: Knowledge of quality systems and full understanding of measurement/calibration systems and equipment Knowledge of ISO9001 Understanding of ISO14001 and Health and Safety practices Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to present data effectively Previous experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably complex and precision components Experience of working in Quality Assurance The hours of work are Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week and the pay per hour is £12.50 - £13.50, dependant upon experience.
