Role Overview: This Teaching Assistant role is to support a child with ASD. You must be confident in supporting the SEN child. The school has a sensory room and calm room. You will be based in a busy reception class.
Hours of Work: 08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the learning and development of a child with ASD
2. Working on a 1:1 and small group basis
3. Encouraging, supporting, and de-escalating students
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Passionate about enabling every child to fulfill their potential
2. Able to contribute to and work as part of a team
3. Reliable and flexible to suit the expectations of our schools
4. Previous experience working within an educational setting or similar - must have worked with children in the last 6 months
5. Creative, pro-active, and enthusiastic individual
6. Able to work under own initiative
