Some experience with engineering or managing legacies of mining background would be advantageous but the desire to learn about this subject is also important. Experience of working with contractors and consultants is some capacity ideally in an engineering discipline. A strong team work ethic & positive attitude to collaborative working will enable stakeholder management to help deliver objectives A commitment to on-going learning & development is key to allow you as a trainee to progress and add value to the remediation of the mining areas., You will be assisting in the management of coal mining subsidence damage claims and coal mining surface hazard projects within defined statutory and internal frameworks and showing that adequate investigations are carried out to determine the Authority’s liability. Also assisting and undertaking of field related tasks as required which may include the inspections of properties, liability sites, undertaking monitoring and sampling. At our very core you will be undertaking desk top assessments of claims/incidents and assisting regional project managers in delivery of projects to time and budget.
