Step Into Teaching is looking for a dynamic and compassionate Graduate Wellbeing & Development Coach to join our student support team. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students navigate the challenges of university life, promoting their emotional health and resilience, and empowering them to achieve their full potential.
The opportunity:
* Graduate Wellbeing & Development Coach
* Hold a degree with a 2:2 or above
* Coventry, West Midlands College
* Full-time role, Monday - Friday
* Start January 2025
* £450 - £500 per week – term time only

The successful graduate must:
* A relevant degree in psychology, counselling, social work, or a related field.
* Experience in a student support, coaching, or wellbeing role in a higher education setting or similar environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
* Knowledge of mental health first aid, resilience building, and strategies for supporting students’ personal and academic development.
* An understanding of the challenges students face during their university experience and a passion for supporting their wellbeing.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
The Role:
* To contribute to the design and delivery of an engaging group and 1:1 tutorial curriculum to groups of students to encourage personal development, growth and a positive transition into adulthood.
* To provide advice and guidance on ongoing support for students who are experiencing a range of pastoral issues including supporting students with safeguarding and mental health concerns.
* To monitor the academic performance and progress of students and provide support to staff and students to ensure that students meet their full potential.
* To work closely with students, their parents/carers, and colleagues to ensure the students maintain good punctuality, attendance, and behaviour in all aspects of their studies and meet assignment and other agreed deadlines.
* To assist in the personal and social development of students by providing appropriate guidance and support, helping with time management and organization of their studies.
* To actively participate in the pastoral team quality activities to ensure that all delivery is of a consistently high quality.
