Job Description:
As a Payroll Accounts Officer, you will be the front-of-house representative for our finance department, handling a variety of tasks related to payroll, sales, and purchase ledger invoicing. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Managing and processing monthly and weekly payroll
* Using Sage 50 software.
* Handling sales and purchase ledger invoicing.
* Providing excellent customer service to clients and colleagues.
* Ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
* Maintaining and updating financial records.
* Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes.
* Resolving any payroll-related queries and discrepancies, including checking staff timesheets and Subcontractor Invoices
* Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Posting Wage Journals
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy office environment.
* Proficiency in Sage software.
* Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a front-of-house role.
* Familiarity with sales and purchase ledger invoicing.
* Relevant accounting or finance qualifications.
