We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Head of Parts in the UK The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Head of Parts to lead our UK Spare Parts Department. This is a key role in overseeing supplier relationships, managing procurement activities, and optimising a multi-million-pound spare parts budget. We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of the automotive or Ground Support Equipment (GSE) sectors, and a passion for customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include defining and executing our parts strategy, ensuring the availability of high-quality spare parts, and meeting both customer and internal requirements. A snapshot of what you will be doing here Strategic Planning & Inventory: Develop and implement strategies to optimise spare parts inventory. Analyse market trends, and manage procurement, storage, and distribution to maintain optimal stock levels. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of spare parts specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. Negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and high quality. Customer Service: Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders. Serve as the main escalation point for queries, ensuring prompt resolution. Financial Management: Oversee budgets, manage costs, and analyse sales data to identify opportunities for growth. Take charge of a multi-million-pound budget for parts. Process Improvement: Implement best practices in inventory and logistics. Drive process improvement projects and leverage technology for efficiency gains. Compliance & Quality: Ensure compliance with UK industry standards and regulations. Uphold quality control measures and product integrity. Health & Safety: Act responsibly to prevent injuries, adhere to safety regulations, use safety equipment appropriately, report incidents, and promote health and safety initiatives. ISO Standards: Maintain compliance with Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Policies. Adhere to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and OHSAS18001 standards. We are looking for an individual who: Experience : Minimum of 7 years in spare parts management or related roles, preferably within the automotive or GSE industries. Skills : Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities. Proficient in inventory management software (SAP preferred). Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.
