Due to an increase in requirements with our UK Power Networks LPN (London) and SPN (Southern) Client, we are recruiting for experienced HV Fitters/ Wiremen to join our alliance and play a pivotal role in achieving our vision of delivering smarter, greener infrastructure brilliantly.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…
Installations of HV equipment such as Earth Switches, Disconnectors, CT's, Protection panels, Battery chargers, SCADA panels etc within new or existing substations to ensure compliance with DNO/IDNO specifications.
Installations of sub-station earthing to specified drawings. Experience with oxygen and propane brazing or exothermic welding would be an advantage.
Installations of pre-fabricated steel work, uni-strut products, cable ladder & tray.
Carry out testing and inspection of installations such as cable testing (IR testing, continuity) Ductor testing and recording results.
Glanding and termination of SWA and Multicore cables.
Panel wiring following line drawings and core sheets.
Panel wiring mods as required by the client.
Helping electricians with some installation on site if required.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environment & quality polices, procedures and standards at all times.
We would love to hear from you if…
You are a qualified time served HV Fitter/ Wireman with experience of working in an industrial environment such as UKPN, National Grid, Network Rail etc able to work effectively as part of a team and use own initiative to overcome problems.
Ideally you will possess the following qualifications: a C&G 2339-17 or equivalent, with at least five years of experience, an ECS Gold Card, and a Level 3 Power Networks Craftsperson Qualification. Additionally, any of the following qualifications would be advantageous: Emergency First Aid at Work, Confined Space A, B & C certifications, EUSR, IPAF 3a and 3b, PASMA, and Ladder Association Inspector & User certifications.
Experience with trunking and conduit and small power and lighting would be advantageous although not essential. Although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
