Eden Scott's client is currently seeking an organised, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in client onboarding and compliance. Our client is looking for a Client and Matter Onboarding Specialist to establish and develop a new centralised Client and Matter Onboarding function within their Risk & Compliance team. This role will work closely with AML, Data, Legal, and Tax colleagues to ensure an efficient, compliant, and seamless client onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and roll out a centralised client and matter inception function, ensuring robust processes and procedures are in place.
2. Set up new clients and matters efficiently within the Practice Management System, maintaining high compliance and client service standards.
3. Liaise with clients to collect necessary information, ensuring they feel valued throughout the onboarding process.
4. Work closely with colleagues across the firm to coordinate and deliver a seamless client experience.
5. Review existing client data, advising legal and tax teams on missing information to ensure full compliance with regulations.
6. Identify areas for enhancement in current systems and workflows, working alongside Business Change, Compliance, and IT teams to implement improvements.
7. Provide detailed client inception reports to legal and tax teams for better prioritisation and efficiency.
8. Ensure that all data entry meets the highest standards, satisfying the Law Society of Scotland, HMRC, and Information Commissioner requirements.
Person Specification:
* Excellent communication skills - the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Previous experience in a similar role within professional services (desirable).
* Strong organisation & multitasking abilities - able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
* Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
* Analytical mindset - problem-solving skills to enhance processes and client onboarding experience.
* Self-motivated & proactive - able to work independently and as part of a team.
