Trustees are a vital part of Citizens Advice Liverpool, providing governance and expertise to the everyday running of their independent charity during a time when they’re seeing their highest service demand in their over 85 year history. As a trustee, you’ll be joining a passionate and committed board with a shared vision of a society where everyone has access to justice and advice.
Their mission has two parts: firstly, they provide free, independent advice on a range of practical issues, giving individuals the guidance they need to improve their lives and find a way forward. Secondly, they speak up for our community through advocacy work. They helped 31,429 clients in 2024 with 128,745 issues, so they understand the real problems people are facing; they can share these insights with key decision-makers to become a catalyst for change in our community.
Citizens Advice Liverpool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Trustee Board as Treasurer. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people in our community.
In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of a Trustee, the Treasurer plays a vital role in overseeing Citizens Advice Liverpool’s financial matters. You will ensure that proper financial measures, controls and procedures are established and maintained and provide regular reports to the Board regarding the financial status of the organisation.
While previous governance experience is welcome, it is not essential. They provide a full induction and training to all their Trustees, so if you have a passion for sound financial management and want to make a difference in your community, they encourage you to apply.
