We are looking for individuals with shared values to join our Group Board. You will bring strategic leadership to help shape our direction by applying your skills and experience gained either on a board or working at a senior level in an organisation of comparable scale and complexity.

The successful candidate will have the following essential attributes:

The ability to provide effective challenge to other Board colleagues and the Executive Leadership Team
Time commitment:
While the exact time commitment varies, we estimate it to be approximately 15 days per year.
If appointed to a committee, this commitment increases to around 23 days per year.
The initial induction period may require additional time as new Board Members settle into their role.
Training and development:
We are committed to supporting our Board Members through a learning and development programme designed to enhance governance skills. Successful candidates will undergo a structured induction period and may be offered a mentor if desired.
Meetings and Board Papers:
Board business is conducted through formal meetings. Additionally, we hold an annual away event to facilitate strategic discussions outside the standard meeting schedule, and all Board Members are expected to attend.
Meetings are held in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format to accommodate flexibility.
Terms of Office:
Board Members serve a maximum term of six years, consisting of two three-year terms. Continued service is subject to satisfactory performance, evaluated through an annual appraisal process.
