The dedicated staff work collaboratively to support each child’s unique needs and foster a love for learning. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the school and work within their nursery class starting in September 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
* Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Support the social and emotional development of children, promoting positive behaviour and interactions.
* Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources.
* Assist with the supervision of children during playtime, lunchtime, and other school activities.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on children’s progress and well-being.
* Contribute to the planning and assessment of learning activities.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting.
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
* Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
