Our client is a respected Welfare to Work and training organisation, dedicated to supporting individuals facing barriers to employment. Through a combination of personalised advice, skills-based training, and employer engagement, they empower people to take positive steps towards work. They are now seeking an experienced Centre Manager to lead their front-line delivery and ensure the smooth, compliant and high-performing operation of their training and employability centre.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre, overseeing the delivery of employment support, pre-employment training and skills programmes.
* Lead and support a multidisciplinary team including Tutors, Employability Advisors, Engagement Officers and Administrative staff.
* Ensure all contractual performance targets (e.g., starts, job outcomes, qualifications) are met or exceeded.
* Maintain a positive learner and participant experience, ensuring high levels of engagement, progression and satisfaction.
* Ensure full compliance with funding rules and commissioner standards (e.g., DWP, ESFA, devolved authorities).
* Oversee safeguarding practices, health & safety protocols, and data security within the centre.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement continuous improvements.
* Monitor and report on performance, using MI tools and CRM systems to drive informed decision-making.
* Develop relationships with local stakeholders, referral partners, employers and community organisations.
* Support the mobilisation of new programmes and adapt delivery models to meet evolving community and contract needs.
Essential Criteria:
* Experience in centre or operational management within the employability, adult education or welfare-to-work sector.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and performance-manage staff across multiple roles.
* Working knowledge of government-funded training contracts, including DWP, ESFA, AEB or similar.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly with compliance and quality assurance.
* Data-driven approach to performance monitoring and service improvement.
* Clear commitment to safeguarding, equality, and learner-centred values.
* Confident IT user, particularly in CRM, MIS or learner management systems.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience managing delivery in a matrix or multi-site organisation.
* Recognised qualification in Leadership/Management (e.g., ILM, CMI).
