Key Account Manager Role
A new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Hospital Specialist or Key Account Manager has arisen. This role will focus on maximising the performance of a launch product in the field of Urology, specifically in Overactive Bladder, within the defined region by unlocking access and driving sales through effective account management.
The successful candidate will develop long-term professional business relationships with customers to support the delivery of business results. They will be responsible for defining and delivering account goals, leveraging all available internal and external resources to achieve agreed objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Analyse the defined region to determine business potential and prioritise target hospital accounts. Understand and navigate local access pathways in the specified therapy areas, including formularies and guidelines. Identify key decision-makers, influencers, stakeholders, and networks within each account. Develop Annual Business Plans for each account, outlining business opportunities and strategic objectives, as well as Cycle Action Plans with clear targets, tactics, metrics, and timelines. Execute business plans with demonstrable business outcomes. Unlock local access by achieving optimal position on relevant formularies, guidelines, etc. Build a high level of product and disease area knowledge and ability to absorb, interpret, and share clinical data with customers. Drive sales uptake by identifying patient and clinician opportunities. Provide support and value to each account, drawing on internal resources as needed. Analyse performance against key metrics, address issues timely, and adapt plans accordingly.

Qualifications:
ABPI qualification. Full UK driving licence.
Person Experience Required:
Proven sales experience with a strong understanding of account management. Sales and launch experience within a specialist therapy area, such as Urology. Demonstrable knowledge of the NHS structure, payers, and routes to market in a general medical environment. Excellent communication and influencing skills, particularly when engaging with mid and senior-level healthcare professionals, key accounts, and the medical community. Strong track record of navigating and leveraging internal organisations to achieve account and customer goals. Proficient user of IT business systems, including MS Office - PowerPoint and Excel. Minimum 4 years of experience selling into specialised hospital settings.
